Weekly Newsletters

Newsletters will be emailed weekly on Sundays at 4pm.  If you wish to receive a paper copy please let me know and I will send it in your child’s daily folder.  The information in each newsletter contains important information about our school and our classroom.  I also add different things we have learned and what we will be learning next week.  I ask that you read through these each week to stay up to date on your child’s classroom and learning.

Daily Folder

This folder is one of the plastic ones that your child brought on open house night.  This folder will have your child’s first and last name as well as student number on the top right corner.  This folder will go home each night and come back to school each morning. Your child's folder will contain papers that they have completed during the day. These papers may be kept at home.  There may be important notes on occasion in this folder as well. Please be sure to look at the folder every day with your child.  If there are still a lot of papers left in your child’s folder by Monday, they will be recycled.   If there are papers left in the folder for long periods of time that tells me you have not gone through your child’s folder.

Daily Planner

Each day your child will write a message in their planner.  I ask that you look at the planner and initial in the yellow box adjacent to the message. You can also use the planner to write me notes or important things that I may need to know.  I may also do the same.  I check your child’s planner each day for your initial.  If your child has gotten your initial, they will get an initial from me on a separate sheet of paper.  Once that paper is filled they have earned free time.  So please check your child’s planner daily!

The folder and planner also serve as an opportunity for your child to build responsibility skills.

Facebook Group

Please join our Facebook group! You’ll find a lot of the same information that is in the newsletter and planner plus PICTURES of your child in action!
